Humayun's Tomb ( New Delhi ) India
Hamida Banu Begum , his grieving Widow built the Humayun’s Mausoleum . Precursor to the Taj Mahal , it stands on a Platform of 12000m² and reaches a Height of 47m. The earliest example of Persian Influence on Indian Architecture. The Tomb has within it a 100 graves , earning it the Name ,“Dormitory of the Mughals”. Built of rubble masonary , the structure is the first to use Red Sandstones and white marbles in such great quantities . The small canopies on the Terrace were covered with Glazed Blue Tiles , and the Brass Finial over the White marble Dome is itself 6 M High.

Construído de masonary de escombros, a estrutura é a primeiro usar Greses Vermelhas e mármores brancos em tais grandes quantidades. Os dosseis pequenos no Terraço foram cobertos com Ladrilhos Azuis Vidrados, e o Latão Finial sobre a Cúpula Branca de mármore é se 6 M Alto.

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in Agra, India. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned it as a mausoleum for his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Construction began in 1632 and was completed in approximately 1648. Some dispute surrounds the question of who designed the Taj Mahal; it is clear a team of designers and craftsmen were responsible for the design, with Ustad Ahmad Lahauri considered the most likely candidate as the principal designer. The Taj Mahal (sometimes called "the Taj") is generally considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements of Persian, Turkish, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. While the white domed marble mausoleum is the most familiar part of the monument, the Taj Mahal is actually an integrated complex of structures. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 when it was described as a "universally admired masterpiece of the world's heritage.
India Gate ( New Delhi ) India
Situated on the Rajpath in New Delhi, India Gate (originally called the All India War Memorial) is a monument built by Edwin Lutyens to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I and the Afghan Wars. The foundation stone was laid on 10 February 1921 by the Duke of Connaught. The names of the soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls. It was completed in 1931. Burning under it since 1971 is the Amar Jawan Jyoti (The flame of the immortal warrior), which marks the Unknown Soldier's Tomb.

Shaikh Salim Chisti (1418-1572) was one of the famous Sufi saints of the Chishti Order in India. Salim Chisti was the descendant of the famous Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti whose tomb is in Ajmer, Rajasthan.
Salim Chisti was greatly revered saint, and the Mughal emperor Akbar also kept him in high regard. The legend states that Akbar was not getting any offspring, and he prayed through Salim Chisti. Salim Chisti blessed Akbar, and three sons were born to him. He named one of them Salim in the
Buland Darwaza ( Fatehpur Sikri ) India
Buland Darwaza meaning 'high' or 'great' gate in Persian, is a monument that can be found in Fatehpur Sikri which is located 43kms away from Agra, India. The construction of this city began in about 1569 and was completed in 1584. The architectural style of these buildings has Persian influence. The various buildings found here are- Jodha Bai palace, Birbal's palace, Panch Mahal etc. Buland Darwaza is one of them.It is known as the "Gate of Magnificence". It was built by Akbar in 1602 to commemorate his conquest of Gujarat. The gateway is approached by 42 steps. It is about 40 metres high. It is built of red sandstone and inlaying of white marble. There is an inscription one on the monument which is a message from Jesus advising his followers not to consider this world as their permanent home.
